Camille was born on July 5, 2008 - 19″ tall and 6 pounds, 8 ounces at birth.  She’s a remarkably happy and friendly kid, we feel incredibly lucky to have a healthy and contented child.

My role with Camille:

Being Camille’s at-home Dad is not something I saw in my future five years ago, but was an easy decision to make when we discussed both working with Camille in daycare vs. one of us at home.  It suits me quite well, is something I’m really enjoying … and I’m at the perfect place in life to focus my energies on Camille and our family.  Giving up money for time doing what matters most is not always the easiest choice, but fits my personality and desires.  Camille helps out by not allowing me much time to daydream about the Martin guitar, the nicer camera lenses, or trips to visit distant friends and family that are desired but unaffordable without a second paycheck.  Then again, if I was paying attention to those I would not get the dozens of smiles a day from her, nor would I watch her daily [sometimes hourly] advances.
